112 Wall Street -- Cuba Sugar Cane Corporation -- 1914-1945 Merchants of Death

Many of the Financial Houses cited on this website have directors in "harmless looking" companies. It does show that the same people knew each other well when they sit side-by-side year after year as directors of corporations. Soldiers and armies use a lot of sugar -- an army runs on it's belly. Guns may be slightly profitable, but Dupont showed that the gunpowder in the bullets was where the big profits were. Every bullet is made with a copper-alloy casing because copper does not spark and is less likely to go off accidentally. Lots of copper investors. Lots or railroads bringing all the materials together and the finished products to the ports. Lots of coal for steamships (WWI-era) and locomotives and power plants. Gunpowder and explosives are made with phosphates and bullets are lead. Of course piles of money to lend to the government and other war industries at high interest rates from banks and insurance companies.

This page examines the CUBA SUGAR CANE CORPORATION found frequently mentioned while examining the JP Morgan Merchants of Death Web.
